The Day of Numbers

So.
I am not very good at numbers, at all. I have never been particularly skilled in the mathematical department, my brain functions much better when letters are involved. Yet, some how I have always been able to just scrape passes at maths and remain in the top groups in class (Not even I know how that happened!). It's not that I don't try, it's just I don't understand the mysteries and logic of numbers, to some people it's very simple, but to me it has never been that way...until now.

Today, something clicked. It's not like I've turned into a mathematical genius over night or anything, not at all. However, I am finding it easier, which is a very good thing as I have my maths exams next week and the following week and would quiet like to get a B if not an A. That's never something I thought I would achieve, because I really do struggle with the concept of numbers and how they work. I have spent every single day of this week with numbers, solving problems, transforming shapes, measuring angles and figuring out percentages. It has really paid off thus far and I feel far more confident than I ever have before in the realm of numbers.

I think this largely to do with having an amazing Spencer Hastings-esque maths tutor, she is amazing and has helped me improve so much, that I have begun to look forward to doing maths! I'm not expecting to get an A* in the exam but I have a solid belief I can get a B! So I am very grateful and happy to have experience the day of numbers, so named because I did 2 papers reaching A's in both.

So, thanks numbers. For finally making sense.

The Bling Ring Excitement!

The Bling Ring is a film set for 2013 release, directed by Sofia Coppola (of the Virgin Suicides fame), starring Emma Watson.

''The Bling Ring, were a group, mostly of teenagers based in and around Calabasas, California, who burgled the homes of several celebrities. In total, their activities resulted in the theft of about $3 million in cash and belongings, most of it from Paris Hilton, whose house was burgled several times. However, over 50 homes were reportedly targeted for potential burglary.'' (Source:Wikipedia) 

Words. Can't. Describe. How. Excited. I. Am. 

I am a huge Emma Watson fan, I think she is incredibly talented and beautiful and if I had the chance to meet her it would result in myself being in shock for a number of days if not weeks, and hysterical fangirl tears of joy. (Alas no such opportunity has raised itself yet!) She is set to play Nikki, the leader of the so called gang and this role is going to be different from anything we have ever seen her in. Emma, had to dye her hair a dark brown for the role. have hair extensions and even get numerous fake tattoo's! So it's fair to see she will shedding her clean cut image!

The trailer is set to be released in May, and honestly it is one to look out for! It's an insight into the fame obsessed teenagers who want nothing more than to be rich and famous, with their faces plastered on every screen (Think, young Speidi). You will NEED to see this film when it comes out. I promise to post review once it is out- though a release date is yet to be confirmed!

Hello!

So, I guess I should start with a few facts about myself.

. I have more than a few strange obsessions
. I like anything with lace on it
. If it were legal to marry a cat, I would. 
. I enjoy classic and foreign literature. 
. I want to act on film, and model. 

That covers the basics right? This blog is going to be about my daily thoughts and feelings from places, I hope to focus on the happier things as well as updates in my interests, recommendations for books and films, and little quirky things that I stumble upon. I say stumble but I'm 5'11 so my version of stumble is to become like Bambi on ice and skid around the place. Imagine a giraffe that's just tripped over a rock, and you'll have an idea of what I mean.
